HEAD OF ACADEMY OPERATIONS
The Head of Academy Operations delivers all operational, administrative and logistical support within an academy. Ensuring the smooth running of the academy programme at all times, the Head of Academy Operations acts as the main point of contact for opposition clubs and governing bodies.
They organise match officials, manage the administrative requirements, arrange CPD courses for academy staff, book facilities, coordinate all training, kit and equipment, and manage the academy budget.
DID YOU KNOW?
Relationships are key for success. The Head of Academy Operations needs to build rapport with internal stakeholders such as the Head of Academy, governing bodies and even the parents of academy players.
An undergraduate degree is usually required, though an exceptional candidate may be considered if they have good A-levels. All applicants should have an enhanced CRB and DBS disclosure as well as a full UK driving licence.
An understanding of the processes in place at an academy is desirable. Previous work within an academy, even in a voluntary capacity, will benefit an application. It’s essential that applicants have some experience of working in operations.
