ACADEMY PERFORMANCE ANALYST
The Academy Performance Analyst manages, interprets and applies the data collected from training and matches to support coaches in their development of players. This involves filming sessions and providing support to allow players to better understand their performance, as well as the areas they need to improve in.

DID YOU KNOW?
A Performance Analyst can work unsociable hours due to the demand for immediate feedback. Often they’ll need to produce a report within hours of a game.
RECOMMENDED EDUCATION
A degree in Sport Science or a similar discipline is the minimum requirement for applicants. Clubs will often also expect applicants to possess a Masters degree in Performance Analysis. Qualifications specific to the industry, such as Prozone Performance Analysis Level 1, will enhance any application, as will proof of attendance at industry workshops or seminars. Though not essential, some clubs have a preference for candidates who hold coaching qualifications or who have had prior experience of playing sport at a high standard.
RECOMMENDED EXPERIENCE
All candidates should have previous experience of working as a Performance Analyst in an elite environment, even if it was only on an internship.
